William Head Institution

William Head Institution, Metchosin, BC, Canada

Complimentary support has recently begun at William Head Institution. A huge thanks go to the William Head inmates for their fantastic support of our wee project, by hand-making beautifully crafted cedar wooden display boxes. They create them for us during their woodworking sessions and graciously donate them at no cost.

These posh boxes have been designated to gift our stone art to First Nations Chiefs, Dignitaries, and children in hospitals, transition homes, as well as child patients in the “U.K.’s Alder Hey” children’s hospital.

The stunning craftwork of these boxes has resulted in more and more people requesting them to house their stones. In appreciation, Pete has ultimately agreed to teach the stone art project to the inmates as well.  Additionally, the inmates create jazzy looking wooden race cars, and have begun to have Pete gift them to the First Nations children at their Tribal schools.
